Akademi Al Khayr is a tahfiz centre offering Tahfiz studies for Qur’an memorisation, Arabic language studies in Islamic disciplines, and academic programmes for general subjects. Under the management of Dr. Kamilin Jamilin since 2022, Akademi Al Khayr focuses on nurturing students who are balanced in their pursuit of worldly knowledge and the Hereafter.
From 2022 until September 2024, Akademi Al Khayr operated from its Shah Alam campus, and since September 2024 it has continued its development at the Penang campus, strengthening its educational reach and environment.
By harmonising modern, comfortable facilities with a setting conducive to the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, the institution strives to produce students capable of applying authentic Islamic knowledge within the contemporary world.
The tahfiz education concept, specially designed by Dr. Kamilin Jamilin adopts a fun, engaging, and attractive learning approach through the PMMM methodology. This framework prioritises memorisation quality rather than quantity, aiming to draw students closer to the Qur’an and deepen their understanding in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
In addition, Akademi Al Khayr aspires to cultivate strong Arabic communication skills among students through qualified teaching staff and international volunteers whose primary language is Arabic, enabling immersive and practical language exposure.
